Baths:
Do not be surprised when your uromastyx puffs up! This is their way of floating in case the water gets too deep.

Tail whip:
You've likely just startled your pet. Give them some space before you try to interact again.

Shedding:
Uromastyx shed their old skin quite regularly, and usually in large chunks instead of as a whole like a snake. To help your pet, give them a bath in the sink with medium-warm water. They may also puff out their eyes to stretch the skin, this in normal, but funny to see.

Claws:
While they can be sharp, there is no real need to trim them with clippers. If there are rocks and climbing spaces in the lizards home, the claws should wear down from use and be less damaging to your skin.

Health Concerns

Circles:
Your lighting is in correct, and it is causing neurological damage. Break them of their running circles by picking them up and starting their brain on a new task. Quickly see that you have the correct lighting fixtures and alter them as required.

Panting:
They are too hot! Be sure to have a cave in your enclosure for them to escape the heat.

Any other concerns should be discussed with your veterinarian.
